Summary: UConn All-American candidate Tiffany Hayes returned from injury and scored 29pts. to help UConn roll past North Carolina 83-57, routing the Tar Heels for the third straight season. Her status was in doubt after she suffered an apparent concussion in a collision with Moore while going for a loose ball in the first minute of Saturday's win against Louisville. With her 22nd pt. in the game, Hayes became the 34th player in UConn history to score 1,000pts. Congrats, Tiff!!! UConn All-American Maya Moore had a double-couble adding 26pts. and 11rebs. for the Huskies. Fr. Bria Hartley had a fabulous game until the beginning of the 2nd half when she rolled her ankle and finished with 11pts., 5rebs., a career-high 8asts., and a career-high 4stls. UConn played without freshman forward Samarie Walker, who didn't travel due to personal reasons.
