Summary: With UConn All-American Maya Moore struggling for one of the rare times in her stellar career, Fr. Stefanie Dolson took over. She dominated in the post and finished with a career-high 24pts. as the Huskies defeated Georgetown 59-43 in the Big East quarterfinals. UConn (30-1) has won 18 straight games since its lone loss of the season to Stanford on Dec. 30 that snapped the Huskies' record 90-game winning streak. Moore had a terrible offensive game, scoring only 6pts. (2-12 shooting). It was only the fifth time in 147 games that she didn't reach double digits, but she did grab 15rebs. So. Kelly Faris just missed a double-double finishing with 9pts. and 12rebs. and Jr.Tiffany Hayes added 10pts. for the Huskies, who will face Rutgers on Monday night in the semifinals.
