Today UConn swept the first Big East weekly honors of the season (which is a rare feat for UConn players). UConn All-American Maya Moore was named the Big East Player of the Week after leading UConn with 27ppg, 7rpg, 4.3apg, 3.7spg, 1bpg while helping the Huskies to a 65-64 victory of 2/2 Baylor. She had back-to-back 30-pt. games with 30pts. vs. Baylor and 30pts. during her homecoming game in Atlanta, GA against Georgia Tech. UConn freshman Bria Hartley was named the Big East Freshman of the Week after making her first career start and scoring 8 of UConn final 10 points in the 1-pt come from behind victory over 2/2 Baylor as well as scoring 18pts. in her collegiate debut at home in a win vs. Holy Cross and 15pts. in her road debut in a win vs. Georgia Tech.
