The Husky women look to get back to business on the court and it actually mean something. They have a tough week ahead as they readjust to playing in the States and prepare for the game tonight and Thursday's much anticipated match-up vs. 9th-ranked Purdue. Geno is pleasantly suprised at how well they have practiced since returning from a successful trip to Italy on Saturday. He admits he's tired and figured they would be also, but instead they look ready for action. The post has been banged up and hurtin' (literally) lately. They hope to all be healthy again starting tonight against Boston University, especially Hunter who is hungry for more minutes. One person who never has to worry about playing time is Thomas (UConn's returning points leader from last year and this year's points leader as well), who Geno rewards with minutes even when she is often overlooked by many on the outside (in terms of pre- and post-season awards and honors).
