Even though she missed a lot of shots--mostly lay-ups or shots within 5 feet, Charles still put on a show last night and led the way with 18 pts., 17 rebs., and 5 blks. as UConn defeated Colgate 81-37. Hunter also put on quite a performance of her own for the crowd, playing the best basketball game of her UConn career finishing with 12 pts. and 10 rebs. in only 11 minutes of action. It was by far and away the best I'm seen her play and if she can give UConn this kind of production througout the season and stay healthy then UConn will be a GREAT team not a great team. Our post and Charles showed an ability to rule the paint, now they just have to settle down and finish the chippies. And like a fine wine, Thomas keeps getting better with age. After quickly brushing aside its first two opponents, the Huskies are now ready to take on some more professionals--this time in Europe.
