Summary: With Caroline Doty back in the starting line-up where she belongs, the Huskies offense found its rhythm once again! Led by UConn All-American Jr. G Bria Hartley's 19 first half outburst (Oakland as a team only scored 12), UConn ran over Oakland 97-25 for there easiest victory of the season. Playing with patches in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, the Huskies came back from their exam break focused on defense and executing on offense. They scored a season-high 61 points in the first half on 66% FG shooting. Coming off the bench for the first time this season, All-American candidate Fr. F Breanna Stewart had her 2nd career double-double finishing with a career-high tying 21pts. and a career-high 13rebs. while So. G Brianna Banks was a star herself off the bench finishing with 16pts., but more impressively was how she scored (she had a very sweet move to the basket where all she needed was one step after the FT line and she finished with a lay-up in the lane)!!
