Summary: UConn All-American candidate Fr. F Breanna Stewart scored a career-high 27 points and four teammates also scored in double figures as UConn easily defeated Hartford 102-45. A pregame ceremony honored the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, with youth players from Newtown joining the teams on court. It was the fifth time that Stewart, a freshman, had led the Huskies (10-0) in scoring this season. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had 21 points, Kelly Faris 18, Bria Hartley 15, and Stefanie Dolson 10 for UConn (10-0). Stewart also had a team-high seven rebounds. The Huskies return to action next Saturday at 4pm on ESPNU when they visit Maple Pavilion on the campus of Stanford to take on the #1-ranked Cardinal.
