Summary: To say the outcome was a shock, would be an understatement to say the least. UConn turned up the heat and defense big time as they steam-rolled over defending National Champion Texas A&M to win by 30, 81-51. Led by Jr. G Kelly Faris' 13p/7r/6a/3s/1b who set the tone early by hitting 5 of her first 6 shots as well as 14pts. from Sr. G Tiffany Hayes and Fr. W Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, UConn forced 14 first half turnovers and won its NCAA-record 91st straight home game. The Huskies are now 3-1 all-time in the Women's Jimmy V Classic and are locked in to play in the next two classics in a home-and-home series with Maryland.
