Player of the Week

UConn So. All-American candidate F Breanna Stewart was named the American Player of the Week for the second time this season after she averaged 18.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 4.5bpg and 3.5apg in a 2-0 week for the top-ranked Huskies.  The sophomore also shot 53.8 percent from the field in wins over Houston and Temple. Stewart started the week with a 24-point, nine-rebound performance in the Huskies' win over Houston on Tuesday. She also blocked six shots and was 8-14 from the floor in only 21-minutes of action.  She followed that up with 12 points, four steals and three assists in 20 minutes of action vs. Temple.
