The post season awards just keep piling up for All-Everything Maya Moore. Today she was named the 2007 McDonald's National H.S. POTY. She will also play in the McDonald's H.S. All American game with fellow UConn signee Lorin Dixon. The game will be televised live from Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY on ESPNU on Wednesday, March 28 at 5:30pm ET. UConn signee Maya Moore picked up her 2nd straight Naismith National H.S. Player of the Year honor today. Over the weekend, Moore lead her #1 Collins Hill H.S. team to their 3rd consecutive Georgia 5A state title, to a perfect 31-0 team, and to Full Court Press' (mythical) 2007 National Championship.

In recruiting news, UConn received its 2nd verbal commitment today from 5'11 SG Tiffany Hayes from Winter Haven H.S. in Florida. Those who watched the T-Mobile Invitational to watch UConn-signee POTY Maya Moore saw Hayes light it up for 15th-ranked Winter Haven as they almost narrowly pulled off the upset (if not for the late-game heroics from Moore) of Collins Hill 60-58.
