Huskies Ink One
Early this morning, UConn commit Sania Chong officially became a UConn Husky after signing and faxing her Letter of Intent to the UConn AD office. The 75th-rated prospect by ESPN HoopGurlz is the lone member of the future class of 2017. Chong, a 5'9 G from Ossining HS (NY), averaged 33.3ppg, 5.2rpg, 9.7apg, 5.0spg and 1.4bpg last season in leading Ossining to a 23-1 record and its second straight Section 1 Class AA championship. Her team ultimately advanced to the Class AA state semifinals. Through 70 career games at Ossining, Chong has amassed 2,060 points (29.4), 412 rebounds (5.9), 473 assists (6.8) and 362 steals (5.2).
