The second half of the 2011-12 Big East Awards (aka the major awards) were announced today at a news conference. UConn Fr. All-American candidate W Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis was named the 2010-11 Big East Freshman of the Year. Notre Dame's Jr. All-American G Skylar Diggins was named the 2011-12 Big East Player of the Year. St. John's Sr. F Da'Shena Stevens was named the 2011-12 Big East Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Head Coach Kim Barnes-Arico was named the 2011-12 Big East Coach of the Year.
