The second half of the 2008-09 Big East Awards (aka the major awards) were announced today at a news conference. The nations #1 and undefeated team defended two of their three crowns as UConn So SF Maya Moore was named the 2008-09 Big East Player of the Year and UConn Head Coach Geno Auriemma was named the 2008-09 Big East Coach of the Year.
